How we write and review our articles

Every article on the Rushd blog is written by our editorial team and reviewed by a specialist before it reaches you.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1Who writes our articles

Articles on the Rushd blog are written by the editorial team of Rushd Platform for Remote Learning. We write for Muslim families wherever they live, answering their real questions about teaching their children the Quran and Arabic in clear, warm language.

The team may use writing tools to help prepare a first draft, but no article is published until our reviewer has checked and approved it.

2Our reviewer: Mahmoud Al-Maghrabi

Mahmoud Al-Maghrabi is certified (ijazah) in the Quran with a connected chain of transmission (sanad). He reviews every article before publication: the accuracy of what is said about recitation, tajweed and memorisation, the faithful quotation of verses and hadith, and the clarity of the advice to families.

Where it helps the reader, he adds a paragraph from his own teaching experience, so the advice comes from a specialist rather than generalities.

3How an article is published

  • ✓A draft written by the editorial team around a question families genuinely ask.
  • ✓A paragraph of experience from the reviewer where it helps the reader.
  • ✓A language review and a religious review of every verse, hadith and ruling mentioned.
  • ✓Publication after approval, with the publication date and last review date shown at the top of each article.

4Our sources

  • ✓Quranic verses and their meanings: the Rowwad Translation Center translation and “Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir al-Quran” from the Encyclopedia of the Noble Quran (QuranEnc).
  • ✓Hadith: we refer to the Hadith Encyclopedia on Dorar.net, and we never attribute to the Prophet ﷺ a saying that is not established.
  • ✓Religious matters: we check them against IslamQA and IslamWeb, and keep to what is agreed upon — no fatwas and no disputed questions.
  • ✓Each article that mentions a verse or hadith lists its references in a “Sources” section at the end.

5What we commit to

  • ✓We do not state unverified numbers or results, and we never promise guaranteed outcomes.
  • ✓We do not publish testimonials or stories attributed to people without their permission.
  • ✓We write honestly and reassuringly, putting the reader's interest before promotion.

6Updates and corrections

We review our articles regularly and update them when needed; the last review date appears at the top of each article. If you spot a mistake or have a note, please email us and we will review and correct it.
