FAQ
Do I need an ijazah?
No, it is not required, though we value it. What is required is accurate recitation and solid Tajweed, which we check ourselves.
Why late-night hours?
Most of our students are in the US and Canada, and their after-school time is roughly 11 pm to 3 am Cairo time. Their weekend mornings match Saturday and Sunday afternoons in Egypt.
How many hours will I work?
You set your fixed weekly availability, and students are assigned within it based on demand, matching times and your evaluation. The wider your availability in our students' times, the more opportunities you get.
How is pay calculated and when is it paid?
A fixed rate in Egyptian pounds for every teaching hour, paid monthly for the completed month to an account or wallet in Egypt, and rising with your monthly evaluation. We explain the full details at the interview.
Do I need special software?
No. Classes run in the Rushd classroom directly in your browser. You only need a laptop, computer or tablet, a headset with a microphone, and stable internet.
Is AI used to assess my application?
Yes. AI tools help us with initial screening and ranking, our team reviews their recommendations before any decision, and no one is invited to interview before a teacher with an ijazah has listened to their recitation.
What happens to my recordings and files?
They are used only to assess your application. They are never published or shared beyond the recruitment team and technical service providers bound by confidentiality, and they are deleted after a set period if you are not accepted. Details are in the consent text before you submit.
If I am not accepted, can I apply again?
Yes, six months after our reply. We hope the experience itself is useful to you.
